Announcing the first wave of 2019 - 20 HSL franchise and team acceptance!

The following franchises and teams have been accepted into the Hockey Super League for the upcoming 2019 - 20 HSL season. There are more exciting announcements to come!

 

Capital City Knights

 

The Hockey Super League welcomed the Capital City Knights to the HSL prior to the 2018 - 19 HSL season. The Edmonton based team was a welcome addition and competed in the 2009 Major Division.  The Hockey Super League announces that the Capital City Knights have been approved for an additional team and will be competing in the following divisions for the upcoming 2019 - 20 HSL season:

Edmonton Gorillas 

 The Edmonton Gorillas joined the HSL during the 2018 - 19 HSL campaign. Their 2007 major team competed hard all year long and had an excellent year of development. The Hockey Super League is happy to announce that the Edmonton Gorillas will be expanding and are approved for the following divisions for the upcoming 2019 - 20 HSL season:

PX3 Amp 

 

 

The AMP program is a well respected developmental program that is based out of Calgary. The Amp program is a new franchise to the Hockey Super League and we are happy to announce that they have been approved for a team in the following divisions for the upcoming 2019 - 20 HSL season:

U13 Varsity

U14 Prep Major

 

 

 Oil City Hawks

The Oil City Hawks were a franchise member that joined the Hockey Super League in the 2018 - 19 season. Based out of Fort McMurray, the team battled hard all season long in the 2007 Minor Division and saw their players improve tremendously. The Oil City Hawks will ice one team in the following division for the upcoming 2019 - 20 HSL season:

Calgary Bandits

The Calgary Bandits has many years of experience in athlete development in southern Alberta. The Bandits are a new franchise to the Hockey Super League and have been approved for a team in the following divisions for the upcoming 2019 - 20 HSL season:

Airdrie Stars 

 

 

The Airdrie Stars were a welcome addition to the HSL during the 2018-19 campaign. We are happy to have them back as they continue to build off of their developmental program heading into the upcoming 2019-20 HSL season with a team in the following divisions:

JR Riggers

The JR Riggers are a new HSL franchise member and an established spring program that is based out of Leduc Alberta. The HSL would like to welcome the JR Riggers into the following division for the 2019-20 HSL season:

Sauce Hockey

 

Sauce Hockey is a new HSL franchise member based out of Calgary and are a knowledgeable group with a passion for hockey development. We are please to announce Sauce Hockey into the following divisions for the 2019-20 HSL season:

Calgary Crusaders

The Calgary Crusaders joined the HSL during the 2018-19 season and won the 2007 minor and 2007 major / 2006 minor playoff championship. The Calgary Crusaders will be expanding and are approved for a team in the following divisions for the upcoming 2019-20 HSL season:

CNG Rebels 

The CNG Rebels from Grand Prairie are breaking onto the HSL scene as a new franchise member and we are happy to announce their teams in the following age categories for the upcoming 2019-20 HSL season:
