HSL - Hockey Super League

Coast 2 Coast Development Becomes 2nd USA Based Franchise

Thursday, March 26, 2026

The Hockey Super League is proud to welcome Coast 2 Coast Player Development as our newest franchise partner for our 10th Anniversary season.

Based in San Antonio, Texas, Coast 2 Coast will compete in the 2018 division and is exploring the addition of a 2017 team as the program continues to grow.

A growing cross-border footprint

Coast to Coast becomes the second U.S.-based franchise in the Hockey Super League, underscoring the league’s continued expansion beyond Western Canada. The organization has committed to traveling north throughout its inaugural season, giving Texas-based athletes regular exposure to elite Canadian competition and creating a truly cross-border hockey experience for players and families on both sides of the border.

Established excellence in the hockey world

Coast 2 Coast is far from a newcomer to player development. The San Antonio-based program is home to the C2C Hockey Academy and a state-of-the-art Performance Lab, led by a coaching staff comprised of current and former college and professional players — including 22-year NHL veteran and Norris Trophy winner Brent?Burns of the Colorado Avalanche.

Their record of sold-out development campshigh-standard skill sessions, and participation from players across North America highlights their outstanding reputation in the hockey community.

“Today marks an amazing day for C2C and hockey families across Texas. From the beginning, our goal has been simple — grow the game we love, provide elite training, and help shape young athletes into not only great hockey players, but great people,” said Rob?GalatiukCo-FounderCoast 2 Coast Player Development.

“Joining the HSL is a significant step forward for our program. The league’s structure, competition level, and commitment to development align perfectly with our vision and provide our athletes with the exposure, pace, and standards needed to continue elevating their game.”

Coast 2 Coast is co-founded by Rob?Galatiuk and Scott?Green, two leaders united by their passion for advancing player development and creating an elite, values-driven hockey experience in Texas.

A clear focus on development

C2C’s philosophy centers on detailed skill instruction, challenging players to expand their comfort zones and helping them understand not just how to execute skills, but when and why to use them. Their approach aligns closely with the HSL model, emphasizing high-tempo, skills-driven hockey in a structured, long-term environment for developing athletes.

Focused on 2018s, with an eye on 2017s

For the upcoming season, Coast to Coast will field a team in the 2018 division, creating a new and unique high-performance destination for families seeking top-level competition and development opportunities. The organization is also exploring the potential for a 2017 team, which would further expand its presence within the HSL framework.

Looking ahead to our 10th Anniversary season

As the Hockey Super League celebrates a decade of growth and innovation, the addition of Coast to Coast Player Development captures the league’s vision of partnering with established, development-driven programs across North America. We’re excited to see C2C’s athletes compete in Western Canada, build new rivalries, and write a new cross-border chapter in the story of the HSL.
